“I'm not sure what possessed me to do it. Maybe it was the impossible expectations I faced, maybe it was my own self-loathing. But I just knew I needed something different to happen. I needed someone...something...to derail me from my current path. Otherwise, I would become lost...a hollowed out shell of a man. So I did it. I approached her, then I pursued her, then I made her mine. And my life was saved...”

Ryan Burnham is the privileged son of a U.S. Congressman and captain of his university’s hockey team. While he is on the verge of fulfilling his dreams to play in the NHL, his parents want him on a different course. One he is expected to accept for the sake of his family’s public image.

Forced her to abandon her music career after the heart breaking death of her parents, Danny Cross exists on the opposite side of the tracks from Ryan. She is struggling to make her own way, working two jobs, attending college part time and volunteering in a homeless shelter. She is on a mission to build her own success.

With a chance meeting, their vastly different worlds collide, causing each to evaluate whether they are truly on the correct path to self-fulfillment and happiness. Can their relationship survive? Particularly when others are against them every step of the way. A lot can happen in just ten short days...

Off Sides is my first experience with Ms.Bennett and I must say that it was honestly awesome-sauce. It only took a few quick intense hours for me to consume which were quite enjoyable.

Off Sides tells the story of Ryan and Danny. Both who are college students that come from different backgrounds. Despite the difference  and the backlash received from friends and family they allow themselves to find happiness and love.

Ryan Burnham comes from a very wealthy and influential family, which believes appearance is everything. He's  caption of the hockey team and has dreams of making it to the NHL. While out with some friends he's immediately taken by the girl with the purple hair and facial piercings. Ryan was so kind and gentle it was hard not to love him.

The one person in his life that I wish I could run over repeatedly is his mother, she was witch with a capital and bold B.
I could not believe the lengths she would go to het her way. Shameful. I was certainly pleased how he eventually had to handle her and her conniving ways.

Ryan was plagued with people that I absolutely despied his ex Angela... ugg is all that I can say. Despite his blated expression that things were over between the two she insisted on staying around to cause trouble. I would have to blame his mother for encouraging this behavior

Daniella "Danny" Combs this girls has a lot going on for herself she's going to college, tutors, and volunteers at the shelter.  I had only two questions 1: when does she sleep and 2: where can I get energy and drive like that. Danny is so enjoyable she's so comfortable in her own skin and pleasant despite everything she's lost: both parents and her scholarship at her previous school.

Although she has lost a great deal in her past she is still surrounded by live her roommate Paula who's more like like a mom helps keep her together when things start to fall apart. She also has Sarge who she meet while volunteering and he's been a permanent fixture in her life.

These two love story takes place over a few weeks, while it was fast I didn't feel that it was over the top. In the beginning
I was somewhat confused by the time error only because some the lame slang they used, but I was able to get over that quickly. It was quite refreshing that thia insta love was not the typical whoreish broken hot guy finding love in the pretty low self-esteem girl. This romance felt genuine and real.

Overall I am so glad that I found Off Sides it was a refreshing ride filled with love with minimum drama. I hope this is not the end for these two. I would defiantly recommend this especially if you are a sucker fornloce and happy ending. I can't wait to read more from Ms. Sawyer
