Book Review: Spark (Fire on the Mountain #1) by Erin Noelle

Spark - Erin Noelle

Released: April 22,2015
Series: Fire on the Mountain #1
Genre: Contemporary, Romance, NA, Erotic

I'm failing.
My younger brother is getting worse, and my job - my duty - is to help him at all costs. We've tried everything modern medicine has to offer and nothing works.
Nothing.
Deciding to turn to unconventional treatments, we end up at Fire-on-the-Mountain, a holistic resort deep in the Rockies.
In our search for medical marijuana, I find beautiful, free-spirited Hudson Shavell - a girl who may not only hold the key to heal my brother, but to fix me as well. Even though I can't afford distractions right now, she's all I can think about. All that I want.

It's funny how everything can change with one little SPARK.

***Though Spark is the first book in the Fire on the Mountain Series, it is a stand alone novel***
***Intended for mature audiences only***

Without a doubt Spark has to be one of the best that I’ve read this summer. Considering I am a self claim cover connoisseur Erin definitely picked a great one.

Spark had so much for me to enjoy, I’m not even going to attempt to figure out what aspect was my favorite. Honestly, I was able to experience multiple emotions along with the characters. Speaking of which I absolutely love everyone of them.

Hudson has this educated shy stoner hippie save the world thing that actually works for her. At times I didn’t understand the choices her parents allowed her to make, but as the story progress I started to realize they were just allowing her to be herself.

In the beginning I thought Crew was going to be the typical man whore that’s portrayed in every other story, but he was like the complete opposite. Family came first for him, which was sweet and sad at the same time.

Hudson and Crew path to each other is a rather unconventional one. Crew and his family are on the search for an alternative treatment for his younger brother, Caleb epilepsy. After much internet searching he finds himself at Hudson’s family bed and breakfast style place. From the moment they laid eyes on each things were never the same.

I have to admit one of my personal highs has to be the fact that Spark is told in a dual POV, I can’t explain how much I adore being both characters brain. It makes the story that much well rounded for me. The writing flowed at steady pace, I stayed engaged the entire time refusing to put my Nook down, even when my eyes were begging me to do so. Spark is my first experience with Erin Noelle’s work and I cannot wait to experience more.
