Checkmate: This Is Love by Kennedy Fox
Release Date Dec.12, 2016
,Series: Checkmate Duet #2
Genre:Enemies to Lovers Romance

Viola Fisher is the epitome of perfection.
She despises my one-night stands and mocks my less-than-classy habits.
She’s smart, beautiful, and too good to be true.
And I want her.

If she were anyone else, I’d have made my move years ago, but considering she’s my best friend’s little sister, she’s always been off-limits. Not to mention how much she loathes my very existence.

Hating me is her religion, but needing her is mine. Her sexy curves and filthy smart mouth make me want her even more, and I’m more determined than ever to change her mind.

I’ll prove I’m done playing games.
But until then, we’ll continue to play by her rules.
Viola Fisher may have won the battle, but the war isn’t over yet.

Checkmate, princess.

Squeee! Favorite couple is back and I’m loving it. Can’t really say which I enjoyed more This is Love or This is War. What I can say is that both are awesome ways to spend a few hours of my day.Like many I was on edge afer reading the last page of This is War. Once I was able to get my hands on This is Love, I was not disappointed. Kennedy Fox amazing ability to make you fall in love repeatedly page after page will continue to be welcomed.

We had formed a friendship that was bonded and full of trust . I want to feel that again.

Travis and Viola were once friends then became enemies, ultimately becoming more. I enjoyed how the relationship between these two developed over time. While I didn’t agree with them sneaking around I understood it. Can a secret between lover’s make their bond stronger?

This is Love continues where things left off from This is War. Travis was involved in a car accident now in the hospital with some serious injuries, creating an enormous amount of questions without the possibly of any prompt answers. The fact that Drew’s on again off again girlfriend Mia was found in his backseat without any clothes raises major one. Why?

“Come closer, “ he says “You aren’t the boss of me, Travis King. … I think we both know that’s not true. I’ve had you counting until you lost your voice.”

The steamy romance continues after Travis is released from the hospital with Viola as his recovery nurse. Things start to become complicated as trust is trying to be developed in their new relationship that is still a secret from Viola’s brother Drew. Stolen glances and secret touches only heighten the intimacy. Now don’t believe for a second that the much adored banter between these frenemies / lover goes by the wayside. Where would the fun in that be? I will admit that its not well hidden that something is different. Will these two manage to ease Drew into the idea of this blossoming relationship or will things blow up in there face?

While This is Love is allegedly the conclusion of the Checkmate series for Travis and Viola, please beware that you’re walking into a cliffhanger. This tidbit left me in a plethora of moods. Disappointment due to the abrupt ending, ecstatic how things are going, and now anxious to get my hands on Drew and Courtney’s story This is Reckless .
